God save India!

It is not a good idea to rub noses with Russians when you ass is being monitored by Americans.

I would like to see how long this parallel affair with Russia and US can go on..... either we will be ditched by one of them, or both!!

Well........after looking at every other nation, the one who remained friendly and allied with India despite the warm weather, cold breezes, dangerous tornadoes is only Russia. And its no just a 1 0r 2 years bond, its decades and decades.

Many defense enthusiasts here often like to lick the american ass rather than the russia.May be people may have forgotten the covered wounds made by US.But its not as easy done than said.

Technology is a mere factor in strategic ties and relations. If u invest more money and time,u can get a more better technology than the adversary, but not a friend.

For people who are commenting indian russia relations and the lameness of russians in a couple fo defense deals.........

Just recall the past, from the beginning of 71 war with pakis. It is US who supported pakistan both militarily by sending weapons and mentally by supporting them. And not to forget that US did even sent a CBG in rescue of pakis. And it is USSR that time which sent a couple of nuclear submarines trailing the US ships all across the IOR.And they more gave us moral support in the war .With support starting the 71 paki war,the paki-US relations grown with time and even till today they keep arming the pakis in the name of war against terrorism.Only god knows where the US supplied/donated F-16`s are used against terrorists. And only god knows the Oliver-hazard ferry class frigates will be used against terrorists hiding in the Arabian sea. Each and every deal is to pakis is justified under the cover of war on terrorism.

May be people might have forgotten the blocking of TOT on cryogenic engines to India from russia and we finally ended up buying 7 such engines and launched our GSLV lately.

May be people might have forgotten the blockade of supply of GE engines for LCA which further delayed the delayed project.

If its just one or two i can type here. But there are as many number of such ones that India being betrayed by US.

People should remember one thing.Even a thing we bought in a store comes up with warranty ,but the one we buy from US will never ever. The warranty and relationship only depends on the mind stability of the incumbent president.

I am ready to bet my entire property if US is ready to lease any one of its latest nuclear submarines.....

Modified Akulas are considered as noise-less and are many times compared as similar to US newest Virginia class.

Do anyone ever thought that such a technological superior nation dont know the boiler life and condition of a LPD it operated and later sold to India which later took 4 valuable indian lives?

Cmon get real guys.Dont go blind just becos of the technology cover it showcases.the ingredients are damn dangerous to our lives.

If we are a white skinned then we would have shook our heads as like the NATO.Fortunately we are browns. Thanks to God.

And the US-china relationship will never be considered as simply as it appears. They first of all they were the toooooooo gud allies and US shipped all the opportunities to china and later they became adversaries and continuing.Even if today china decides to forget an occupation of Tawian, then US-china will the best allies the world would have seen.finally who ends-up as a stupid is India trusting these guys as becos we believed in them as life savers.Unless India itself tries to avoid russia and get rid of her,Russia wont leave India in the middle of Ocean. But does the US.

So try to differentiate milk and water.

Shiv is it the Headline ur own?
If so,i suggest you know more facts before. As a journalist you are,i guess there is no need for me to tell.

If its a pretending,do u get a nuclear submarine for lease? and help with nuclear reactor for indigenous submarine?
Do u think the scientist at ISRO have realized the cryogenic engine by themself without the help from russia?

P.S: dont bring gorshkov in between. It was a disaster for both parties.

J.P, are you Shiv's pimp, or is he a eunuch so as to not take care of himself and cant do anything himself?? or are you both that phone number's pimps? good. By the way, income tax has to be paid on the money that Shiv and that phone no. have made together , through pimping and hooking/escorting, ...there's a new rule that this earning also will be taxed, so Shiv should fear the police, no one else....

Shiv, you have posted only half of the press release that Mod/DPR gave that day, what about the rest? All those who were present there in MoD got the full release and also a breifing about the details of the meeting and also technical details about equipment to be bought and ToT etc....

Since you've decided not to do anything great for Headlines Today (not that you ever did) and only focus on your blog, which has become your full time profession, and also these releases and photographs get carried only here and nowhere else, therefore please atleast take pains to give out full releases and also be there when such things are being informally breifed about.

As it is only this blog has become your identity..when you were in Express and had no such blog, you focussed on work and did good stories, but now as your doing nothing for the channel that pays you, and always here, updating this minute by minute, therefore please work hard in getting press releases in full next time and dont mislead people by just what they mail you, as a lot of idlers like you come here to read these releases and post 'analytical comments' and think these releases are the last word of MoD.

As it is from a reliable source, it has come that you were ticked by the MoD spokespersn that day when you went for the naval briefing, about not doing any good stories like you did in Express, with aspecific reference to your DRDO series, which were otherwise Amitav Ranjan's master-mind and you had no contribution in it, thus puncturing your huge ego of not being capable of investigative journalism anymore?

Or is it that you were helped by someone for all that you did in print, and were basically incompetent?

Neither Russia nor America wanted to help India or Pakistan in the wars. That was a period of cold war and heightened activity against each other. US was against us because our relationship with Russia started earlier (immediately after independence). US wanted to prevent soviet expansion by promoting China and Pakistan.

Now the situation is different. US is scared of China. I wont say we should trust US. But when help is available, it is prudent to take it. For that matter since we are Non-Aligned, we can take the Russian help too.. But long term vision should be to become independent, if possible, better than Americans and Russians.

Strategic friendships like the Indo-Russian military hardware alliance aren't everlasting, are they?
