Photos: Antony reviews HAL

Defence Minister AK Antony was recently in Bangalore for his formal review of HAL programmes. Don't miss that seriously groovy photo of the Dhruv-WSI! Also seen, the NAL Saras and the first HAL-built Hawk AJT. The LCA didn't fly at this show for some reason.

Beautiful! And is that a mockup on the Dhruv, or is that thing actually carrying a chin mounted gun turret?

Anonymous said...

looks like the real thing to be. the nexter turret right?

Anonymous said...

That's the Nexter/GIAT THL-20 turret fitted with a M621 20-mm cannon built to fire 800 rounds per minute. Super duper gun.

I was recently given the models of all these aircraft by HAL

Anonymous said...

can u give it to me? how much do u want?

Anonymous said...

aren't the models available at the HAL museum on the airport road? anyways here's my offer : 1000/- per model....can be negotiated further...reply soon.

someone should ask the HAL dudes to hawk (no pun intended) some models of their aircraft off their website. they'd sell hotly. i for one would buy a IJT, Dhruv and a Marut for nostalgia sake.

What are u guys talking about? I am the guy who built these aircraft for HAL all these years...if anyone
wants one of these as a present for their spouses, feel free to place an order with me at the earliest.

there is serious infighting in the IAF over the Hawk............

Where is this great RM? Does he still remember about his speech in Sep that military men will get their grievances attended before Diwali. It is shame for the country to have such ministers who announces something openly and not able to keep it up. Shame on you.

No they are not available at the airport museum, and who is this builder of models? Fools.

They were gifted to me by the top man himself as I am known to him, and he appreciates my love for these birds. More of them coming for me soon.

I asked Shiv also if he wants, but he never responded. Anyway, who ever wants can put up his request here itself, and i don't take money, as i too got them for free.

If it is true, then I would love to have those prestigious thing on my office table. Count my request as Number one.

Surprised that no-one asked. What the hell is that gorgeous thing on photos number 2 and 3?!

VT-XRM?!

Mr.White said...

@ankur:
That was told by shiv in the post itself. NAL Saras. It is a Light transport aircraft(multipurpose) What you are seeing is a civilian version and nothing to do with defense. Manufactured by National Aeronautics Limited(NAL)

Mr White, done deal....right now I have Tejas and HAL-made Hawk....A huge coloured sarang dhruv coming in a few days.

Get in touch with Shiv on his email where do you want them, and he'll tell me. He knows who I am.

Didn’t anybody noticed the weather. Isn’t it the best to click at glossy mean machines. What to tell about ALH program it just lifted us from the typical status with typical definition of 3rd world. And we even going higher thanks to CHANDRYAAN-1.
Questions.
1.Which SARAS is in pic? Graphics are all new and I am seeing it for the first time.
2.Is there any sharable update on LCH?

Thanks!
