LOL. Well the ARMY is following the footsteps of the politicians, civil administration, civil police, babus in ministry, when these guys sitting there in New Delhi who have never seen the hard military life, ci-ops etc in J&K or NE can do it why not the ARMY.

An ARMY officer or a Soldiers feels complex when he sees a local civil police si having 6 (which is just a start) flats in Delhi, a babu having property worth lakhs & crores, a politicians having no end to his wealth in any form, he does the same.

An ARMY Officer or Soldier gives his best years of his life to his country fighting in J&K or NE, that also he doesn’t know will he survive there fighting or not.

When he is back to a peace Military Station he sees that the place he left is so changed, corruption is there everywhere. Initially he finds it difficult to adjust in this atmosphere. As the years pass by he gets fed up of all this corruption and thinks to adapt to the corrupt practices he sees in this modern INDIA and be adjusted to the civil society.
Well no body talks about the extortion a civil police man does at traffic signals, police stations, a babu from your local municipal office to ministry, a local mla or mp or any government employee, because people are used to all this corrupt civil system and they are still fine and ok with it.

When this media showcases ARMY, the people instantly make reactions. Media never showcases the INDIAN ARMY good will gesture to the people because they in now ways benefit from the ARMY.

It is a fact that civic activities done by the ARMY a better than the civil administration of any state governed by politicians.
ARMY is a well organised structure organization. Visit any ARMY Cantonment or Military Station see the roads, sewage, sports activities, law and order, lighting, water supply etc they are better than any city of INDIA. The ARMY just doesn’t do it for their own troops but also have opened schools, vocational centres, hospitals, roads, telephone exchanges for civil administration.

Time has come to stop blaming the ARMY for each and everything and rather learn to accept how things are done by them.

INDIAN ARMY needs the respect and legal powers to avoid all this trash.

Sid,
Why can't a property dealer claim harassment by a army man ??

History has shown that Army officers are hardly saints or the "mahatma"'s the jingoists make them out to be.

The Army should start its own investigation about the officer and if found guilty, he should face military justice with a possibility of jail time for abusing his position and demeaning the image of an Indian Army officer.

I only want our civil society learn discipline, manners, hard working abilities from the armed forces as it is very true that all military stations are very cute and clean. But for heavens sake, the military must not pick-up anything from civilians as we have nothing to offer but-corruption,laziness.

Does anyone know Hindi well in this forum?
Brigadier Tikoo has been remarkably well bahaved and docile in his speech and mannerisms in the video audio. "Uthake Le aayenge" is not kidnapping. He may have mentioned these words because the property dealer was not returning phone calls and not keeping scheduled appointments.
There are more intimidating threats, browbeating remarks in public forums than what he utters. There is not a single shred of criminal speech uttered in the audio. This phraseology is quite common and normal in Delhi and I suppose has its cousins elsewhere in India. "Laaton Ke Bhoot Baaton se nahin mante" is common vernacular, an aphorism frequently uttered in Delhi to get the job done from subordinates.
It is the military you are dealing with here and a property dealer. Neither are icons of saintly worlds.
Please, let us do ourselves a favor and move on. This is not even funny.
The property dealer may be a crook genuinely needing a tongue lashing. Someone who steals 1.5 crores in business is not my idea of a saint.
However, an inquiry should be made and the facts made public.

well said anon 7.19 am and 3.36 we should not come to any conclusion until enquiry is complete .until then brigadier tikko is innocent.
if a police sub inspector can own 6 flats and m.o.d babus have swiss a/c .then these incident is of no significance .

For the past few months we have been seeing that media is focusing on the sukna land scam, molestation case and now this don scandal.have all the govt dept cleansed themselves and are no longer corrupt ?thousands of crores of money is being siphoned off at any given day.if you want to focus on corruption focus on MOD babus and the COPS.atleast our army is clean than the army on the other side of the western border.with full pride and confidence i can say that our MILITARY AND PARAMILITARY FORCES ARE THE BEST
