Just received these photos from a source at HAL. The last photo is of the Elta podded self-protection jammer introduced on the upgraded MiG-27. Here's my special report last month detailing the IAF MiG-27 upgrade.

Its time to retire these planes. but then again with aquisitions taking as long as they do, I don't know if the IAF has the luxury to retire planes without reducing their strength.
can u pl explain us about those monitors in 2 nd pic.....is it a simulator or else????? waiting for ur report about iaf nervousness abt uncle sams fighters....i hope u vl post it tomoro
dont u think it would have been easier for them to show the digital readouts and gauges if they wanted to show digital gauges ......considering how its a computer (and hence digital) thats doing all the simulations

Now how about replacing the MiG-27's engines? That was mooted twice and cancelled twice. Their engines are what causes most of the crashes.
