PHOTOS: IAF Upgraded MiG-27 Avionics Part Trainer

Just received these photos from a source at HAL. The last photo is of the Elta podded self-protection jammer introduced on the upgraded MiG-27. Here's my special report last month detailing the IAF MiG-27 upgrade.

I thought this pod was mounted internally in the nose.

Its time to retire these planes. but then again with aquisitions taking as long as they do, I don't know if the IAF has the luxury to retire planes without reducing their strength.

Cujo

Shiv, your livefeed to "IIT-Bombay's Nuclear Ramjet/Scramjet Research Concept" is going to a blank page...

Could you please correct it?

Thank you.

@ rajiv

dont u think it would have been easier for them to show the digital readouts and gauges if they wanted to show digital gauges ......considering how its a computer (and hence digital) thats doing all the simulations

Now how about replacing the MiG-27's engines? That was mooted twice and cancelled twice. Their engines are what causes most of the crashes.
