still awaiting ur report on IJT
@Shiv the name is Nirbhay but i am bit confused abt its range, is it 1000 km or 1500 km
Yes it's Nirbhay. Undeclared range 1500 kms. Nuclear capable. To be mounted on the Su-30MKI Super-30 variant along with the Brahmos.
really a air launched version also?
http://www.scribd.com/doc/22198231/MM-Wave-RadarShiv, r u reporting( cut and paste) from this website.....Hope u don't.
@kunal u r a bit wayword, the 40 Su30MKI meant for air launched Brahmos are only meant to carry Brahmos. The Nirbhay will be attched possibly with Tu142M3 or the P-8 Poseidon that in Indian Navy plans to get in next 3-4 years. Also the range is possibly more than 1500 km otherwise it wont be called a long range cruise missile.
Shiv, i found sumting abt NRUAV in this below websitehttp://www.scribd.com/doc/28380918/Religare-Strategic-Advisory-Commentary-Unmanned-Systems-March-2010
To joydeep ghosh:I am not wayword. Plz check Wiki Su-30MKI. It is a combo of 3 Brahmos per MKI Super-30 OR a combo of 1 Brahmos in centerline + 2/? Nirbhay. Also, yes the known range is 1500 but in actuality it is 1500+. Plz do not forget that missile ranges are a function of mass, i.e. missile mass + fuel mass + warhead mass. So, ranges can be flexible.
