ARCHIVE PHOTO
The Agni-V ballistic missile, capable of delivering a 1.5-ton nuclear warhead out to over 5,500-km was tested today from India's Integrated Test Range (ITR) in the Bay of Bengal. The launch at 8.52AM today was the missile's second after its debut test in April last year. The missile's systems underwent a degree of fine-tuning after the first test, purported to give the weapon system a far greater degree of accuracy. Details of today's test, videos and photos shortly.

Congrats to the DRDO team . Hope the Govt demonstrates it's will & resolve to formally get it inducted in our Armed forces after all the necessary testing rather than buckle under the pressure of Chinese intimidation & shelve it as an mere technology demonstrater .

Was it a success or not? The DRDO never mentioned if it was a success. They are generally the first to tom tom their every achievement. If they refrain from doing so it indicates all was not well. I have a nagging feeling the test wasen't a total success. Please tell me I am wrong.
Thanks.

As per DRDO, the result of the trial will be known only after thorough analyses of all data retrieved from different radars and network systems.

It is need of the hour to have at least 2800 artillery pieces added to the stable from different manufactures and all the ordnance be locally manufactured at different public and private facilities . At least a thousand of pinaka 3 with extended range be added to the artillery. Have at least 50 to 80 Agni 5 missiles ready and have atleast 800 parihar missiles ready so if any of our neighbors do anything silly the response should be so intense that the enemy would face very heavy casualties. China has dual problem as they are on occupied land and there army never had a war after a short skirmish with Vietnam where they miserably lost and so if their army looses lot of soldiers then they would revolt against their rulers.
