The officer has also been covered by today's papers as the one who did the flight evaluation of the MiG-29K thereby becoming the first foreigner that the Ruskies let touch their prized (only single seater prototype then) MiG-29K prototype way back in April 2002. Of course, they must also have been governed by commercial considerations! He also figures under the Wikipedia coverage of the Indian Navy's SPAT (Sagarpawan Aerobatic Team) as the founding leader of the Team. Too many firsts on him - first on the Kay, first Navy's tailhooker on a US Carrier and founding leader of the Sagarpawan - the only second Navy aerobatic team in the world. Lets not get this officer and his name tally involved in these discussions - he seems to have done enough to know what he is doing!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050542.post-86377045061772567832010-02-20T13:11:15.160+05:302010-02-20T13:11:15.160+05:30Please refer to these links and you will learn tha...Please refer to these links and you will learn that the US Navy aviators wear name on the left breast. This officer seems to be wearing a US Navy's flight suit (his name reminds me that he is the same officer Shiv covered in his blog earlier - he trained with the US navy and was covered by Shiv as the first Tailhooker in the 'new mould' - apparently he just used the place on the flight suit to put his tally) - http://www.carterny.com/index.php/us-military-fire-resistant-flight-suit-nomexr-cwu-27-p.html, http://www.ehow.com/about_5393518_navy-flight-suit-regulations.htmlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050542.post-86572259321893680212010-02-19T07:21:36.012+05:302010-02-19T07:21:36.012+05:30Yes anon at 1.55 am, absolutely right...name is al...Yes anon at 1.55 am, absolutely right...name is always on the rightAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050542.post-74127331527769571592010-02-19T01:55:30.808+05:302010-02-19T01:55:30.808+05:30Correct me if I am wrong. isnt the name patch supp...Correct me if I am wrong. isnt the name patch supposed to be on the right and the unit patch on the left.nattnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050542.post-79715788642257434202010-02-18T21:14:29.224+05:302010-02-18T21:14:29.224+05:30OT but watch this 5-part series of Nellis Rad Flag...OT but watch this 5-part series of Nellis Rad Flag beginning at:<br /><br />http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVXLY-u-SdA&feature=related<br /><br />This is what IAF would have experienced during their time at Red flag.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050542.post-44655610180926310982010-02-18T21:13:52.595+05:302010-02-18T21:13:52.595+05:30Shiv, better not to post pictures of officers.Shiv, better not to post pictures of officers.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6050542.post-73575854891064828592010-02-18T19:42:26.211+05:302010-02-18T19:42:26.211+05:30Keep them coming!!!
